Academy

       Greendale Baptist Academy is a ministry of Greendale Baptist Church. The academy is open to members of the church and students from churches of like faith and practice. We seek to educate children in a nurturing atmosphere while working with parents to meet the needs of each student. It is important that every child is able to attain their potential for the glory of God.

       The academy is a member of the American and Wisconsin Association of Christian Schools. Through the annual academic tournaments, students are able to compete in various academic, Bible, and "Fine Arts" events. This serves to foster excellence in each student's area of interest. Our students have succeeded at both the state and national levels.

       God is the source of wisdom, therefore, every subject is taught with a Biblical perspective. We hold high academic standards and use only the best curriculum. Families benefit from Stanford achievement testing each academic year. We aim to provide a well-rounded, balanced education that will prepare students to live in a highly competitive world.

       Chapel is an important part of each week. Practical Bible teaching and warm preaching is used by God to reach the hearts of students. Each child is encouraged to know God personally. Bible classes are exciting and informative. Opportunities for ministry in evangelism, music, drama, and preaching are offered to develop the whole person.

       Extra curricular activities are designed for educational, cultural, and social benefit. Trips to the Milwaukee Symphony, Zoo, or the State Capital are typical of the kind of enriching activities that we offer our students.

       Our teachers are Christian educators who know their subjects and love their students. Their exemplary testimony as Christians is a positive example for their students. Our small teacher/student ratio helps our teachers meet the individual learning styles of each student.

       God's glory is the goal of the academy ministry. Each child is encouraged to glorify God with their lives. Academic excellence is what we strive for as we seek to provide each child with the best opportunity to succeed.

Our Philosophy

       Our philosophy is based upon the Biblical teaching that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. God, being the only creator and the sustainer of the universe and the only Savior of men who are otherwise hopelessly lost in sin, and being infinite in contrast to the finite limitations of the human intellect, must be at the head and the core of the educational process for that process to be valid. It is our conviction that an education ignoring God and His Word and claiming to be neutral will be incomplete and morally and spiritually powerless. Since God has revealed Himself in the incarnate Word (Jesus Christ the Eternal Son) and in written Word (the Bible), the knowledge of Jesus Christ and of the Bible become the key and the coordinating purpose of education that is Christian. Only a Christ-centered education can have meaning, and can validly prepare youth for time and for eternity, for earth and for heaven.
